This is a stylized vessel in the shape of a wild Goose with its head turned back onto its left wing. It was inspired by the flocks of geese that migrate through the 6,775 acre Yellowbank Wildlife Management Area that is adjacent to the studio.
It is polished Indiana Limestone with overall dimensions of 23" long x 10" wide x 17" high and weighing 85 lbs. which includes the detachable base.
The base is polished Virginia Steatite. It has a stainless steel pin to hold the 2 pieces in place.
